Cherry Tree seeks to provide the following careers education for its pupils:
· A programme of lessons during form time for Transition, KS3 and Year 10.
· Look To The Future is a programme of activities for year 11 on Wednesday afternoons which includes college visits and careers guidance that prepare pupils for college, jobs and careers.
· Access to careers information through CONNEXIONS appropriate to pupils of different ages and abilities.

The National Careers Service website provides comprehensive details of career requirements and education pathways. A great starting point for pupils who are not sure of their future direction.
The ‘Careerconnect’ website has details of career requirements and pathways.
http://www.plotr.co.uk A careers search engine with a built-in game to help select relevant careers, which includes a skills and CV builder particularly useful for Year 11 and College/Apprenticeship applications as well as advice on how to access certain careers.
www.careersbox.co.uk Includes unique video clips about individual careers and how to access them, regular updates to refresh content and build a careers library and a membership function to save ‘favourite’ careers.
The Black Country Skills Factory is a Local Enterprise Partnership initiative aimed at addressing skills shortages in the five transformational sectors in the Black Country.
